Great Gift

So who is a cake tester a great gift for? Anyone who has ever had an under or over done cake. Yourself cause you deserve one. Your mom, cause she deserves one more than you. Bridal shower in all silver, or the color of the wedding. Bridesmaids gifts - finally something useful they won't toss in a drawer when the wedding is over. Baby shower, for all those future birthday cakes the new mom is gonna have to make. Any classy cook you know, or your BFF who appreciates something unique and clever. The hostess of the annual holiday meal. Best one yet......housewarming gift. And you know what......these fun sparkly gems actually work. Pretty and they function too, yup. They are about 7 1/2" long with the beading on the top 3". There is a loop to hang it close by, my mom keeps hers in the knife block. They are not made of flimsy wire, or those hat pin forms. They are real food grade stainless steel. But I feel it's necessary to tell you not to run with it, or give it to a small child to play with. I'm not responsible for anything you do once it arrives at your home, it's made to poke in and out of a cake, period, not someone's eye or your hand.

Price

The cake testers normally range between $12.00 and $20.00 just depends on what extras you add. Lampwork beads cost more, so they usually start at $14.00, and if you add a swarovski crystal or a photo charm those are also additional. If you want something really personal and special, how about a cake tester made with your grandma's old necklace that is in the bottom of your jewelry box? How much more useful would it be turned into a cake tester with sentimental value so you think of that special baker in your life each time you put your own cake in the oven. Shipping cost is minimal $3.00, and it is adorably packaged in a reusable gift box with fluffy shred inside - all ready for gift giving, or tuck one in a gift basket. It will be the most talked about item right up there with chocolate!

Work in progress

Testing, testing, colors and photos and fonts oh my!!! This site is really under construction (like I haven't made the cute follow button work yet so don't expect something amazing to happen if you click it). Soon I will be adding stock here to purchase via paypal, but for now head over to www.one30oneDesign.etsy.com to place an order. Or email me at one30oneDesign@tds.net and I can send a pay pal invoice to you for a special order.

That Didn't Take Long

I knew it was bound to happen, the copy cat cake testers have arrived in various places, made I am sure by well intentioned people. That is understandable, but they are even copying the words I use to describe mine! Sheesh, come up with your own catch phrases and information, be original if you can't be anything else. I don't want my cake testers confused with theirs, mine are rock solid in quality.

So I just gotta say this.... the other ones I have seen are, well, umm, not as beautiful as mine. I use only high quality top shelf products on these little buggers. And pay special attention to the so called "wire" they use. If it says it's "bendable", "flexible" or "wire", then run the other way because sitting around in your kitchen it's gonna do what wire does - bend- and before long it will look like a cheap piece of wire with some beads strung on it. That ain't gonna happen with cake testers by One 30 One Design, no sirree. Solid round stainless steel rod (not bbq skewers) of the correct thickness to assure it's just not gonna get bent outta shape. Quality and beauty, you have found them both here. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, and the photographs don't do these baubles justice! Go ahead, buy one of theirs and one of mine, I dare 'ya. These aren't called kitchen jewelry for nothing!
